StubHub API vs DICE for AI agents
StubHub API is StubHub's OAuth2 REST API for searching events, buying tickets and listing tickets on the StubHub marketplace. DICE is a GraphQL API for DICE's promoter and venue partners to query their own events, tickets, orders and ticket holders.
The short answer
- StubHub API: Approved affiliate and reseller partners who want to search and buy resale tickets from StubHub inside their own product.
- DICE: Promoters selling on DICE who want to pull their own ticket and fan data into other systems.
Side by side
| StubHub API | DICE | |
|---|---|---|
| Searches | Events on the StubHub ticket marketplace (catalog), plus inventory, sales and account data for partners. | Only the partner's own events and related ticket, order and financial data. |
| Before the first call | Access is granted on request: affiliates and buyer-facing apps email StubHub's affiliate team, seller tools email API support; every request needs an OAuth2 token. | A DICE partner account; the API token is generated in DICE's partner tool (MIO). |
| Acting on a result | Checkout through the API (purchase tickets for an event), for partners who are given access. | – |
