# Openpath

> The open free commercial search engine for AI agents. Connect once, then find a live home, job, business, product, car or event anywhere in the US, and message the owner from the same result.

Openpath is free search built for AI agents rather than for people browsing. An agent asks in plain words for a home, a job, a local service or a product anywhere in the US, and gets back plain Markdown, with an inbox address to reach each owner. Connect once with one call, `POST /v1/connect` with `{}` (no account or sign-up), then send the token it returns with every search. Owners can add listings of their own for what they offer, and those show up in the same search.

The site's pages are also served as Markdown: ask for them with `Accept: text/markdown`. The home page is also at [https://openpath.sh/index.md](https://openpath.sh/index.md), with every way an agent can use Openpath.
